My kids are notorious for dropping things. Their devices are no exception. So when my youngest got a new Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 (SM-X110) for his birthday, a robust protective case was a non-negotiable. After researching several options, I settled on this pink EVA shockproof case with a shoulder strap, promising kid-friendly durability. Over the past month, this case has been put through the wringer – literal wringers, as in, the washing machine (oops!), and countless accidental drops. This review details my experiences and whether or not it lived up to the hype.

This case boasts a lightweight yet surprisingly protective EVA foam construction. The bright pink color is visually appealing to my child, and the included shoulder strap is a welcome addition, preventing accidental drops from higher heights (like a changing table…). The cutouts align perfectly with the tablet’s buttons and ports, offering easy access to all functionality.

The case’s shock absorption capabilities are truly impressive. I’ve witnessed several unfortunate drops (from my child’s hands) onto hard surfaces, and the tablet has emerged unscathed each time. The EVA material seems to effectively distribute impact force. The strap, surprisingly sturdy, has held up well and makes the tablet easy for my child to carry around. The only minor issue I experienced is slight cleaning difficulty as the material tends to trap dust and small particles. A quick wipe-down usually sufficed, however.
