Anker 310 (B81E6) USB-C Cable Review: Fast Charging, But at What Cost?
Anker’s reputation precedes it. Known for its reliable charging solutions, I recently put their 310 (B81E6) USB-C to USB-C cable (2-pack, 6ft) to the test. This review details my experience using these cables with various devices, focusing on charging speed, durability, and overall value.
The Anker 310 boasts a braided nylon exterior, promising enhanced durability compared to standard cables. The 6-foot length provides ample reach, a definite plus. The package contains two identical cables, offering redundancy and convenience. Anker claims high-speed charging capabilities, a key selling point for many consumers.

I tested the Anker 310 cables with a variety of devices, including a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, an iPad Pro 2021, and a MacBook Pro 2020. Using a compatible 65W Power Delivery charger (not included), the charging speeds were impressive on the Samsung S22 Ultra, consistently reaching the advertised speeds. The iPad Pro 2021 also charged quickly. However, the charging speeds didn’t match the speed of similarly priced cables from other brands tested alongside. The braided nylon construction felt robust and showed no signs of wear and tear even after weeks of daily use. The cable’s length was also beneficial, allowing for comfortable charging while using my devices.
One important observation: the specification sheet lists a cable length of “Under 2 Feet,” which directly contradicts the product description and my own experience. This discrepancy needs clarification from Anker.
Pros:
- Fast charging speeds (with compatible PD charger)
- Durable braided nylon design
- Two cables included in the package
- Sufficient cable length (6ft, despite specification discrepancy)
Cons:
- Inconsistent information regarding cable length in the specifications
- Charging speeds, while fast, were not significantly faster compared to other similar cables
The Anker 310 (B81E6) USB-C to USB-C cable offers decent performance and a durable design. The inclusion of two cables is a significant advantage. However, the discrepancy in the cable length specification raises concerns about accuracy in product information. While the charging speeds are fast, they aren’t drastically superior to other options on the market. Overall, it’s a good cable, but I would advise checking current prices on other brands for possible alternatives, depending on the emphasis you place on price versus other features.
