Case for Honor Pad 8 12″ (2022) Review: A Comprehensive Look

Introduction

This review delves into the Case for Honor Pad 8 12″ (2022) featuring a multi-view angles function, a PU leather smart cover, and an auto sleep/wake feature. I’ve been using this case for several weeks now, putting it through its paces with daily use, and I’m ready to share my experience.

Features

The case boasts a sleek design with a “lazy cat” theme (though the cat design is subtle), promising both style and protection. Key features include the multi-angle viewing stand, the auto sleep/wake functionality, and its construction from high-quality PU leather and microfiber interior.

The advertised slim and lightweight design is certainly present; it doesn’t add significant bulk to the Honor Pad 8. The precision cutouts allow full access to all ports and buttons, a crucial aspect often overlooked in cheaper cases. The magnetic closure is strong enough to keep the case securely shut, yet easy enough to open with one hand.

Performance & Use

The auto sleep/wake function is a standout. It consistently and reliably wakes and sleeps my Honor Pad 8, saving battery life and adding a touch of convenience. The multi-view angles are also quite useful, offering several comfortable positions for typing, watching videos, or reading.

I’ve tested the case’s protective capabilities by dropping the tablet (accidentally, of course!). While I wouldn’t recommend intentionally dropping your device, the case did a remarkable job of absorbing the impact. There were no scratches or damage to the tablet itself. The microfiber interior also prevents scratches from forming on the screen during normal use.

One minor quibble: The magnetic closure, while strong, could be slightly stronger to prevent accidental opening in a bag. However, this is a minor inconvenience.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros: Auto sleep/wake function, multiple viewing angles, slim and lightweight design, good protection, precise cutouts, stylish appearance.
  • Cons: Magnetic closure could be slightly stronger.

Final Verdict

Overall, the Case for Honor Pad 8 12″ (2022) provides excellent value. It’s a well-designed, protective, and convenient case that enhances the usability of the Honor Pad 8. The auto sleep/wake feature alone is worth the price. While the magnetic closure could be improved marginally, it doesn’t detract significantly from the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this case for anyone looking for a stylish and protective cover for their Honor Pad 8.
