Cyborg 15 A13VE Gaming Laptop Review (MSI Cyborg 15 A13VE)
The MSI Cyborg 15 A13VE gaming laptop promises a powerful blend of performance and speed. With its Core i7-13620H processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, it’s geared towards gamers and content creators alike. But does it deliver on its promise? After spending several weeks putting it through its paces, here’s my in-depth review.
Out of the box, the Cyborg 15 A13VE feels solid and well-built. The 15.6-inch Full HD display is vibrant and crisp, though not the highest resolution available. The keyboard is comfortable for extended gaming sessions, and the trackpad is responsive. The inclusion of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card ensures smooth gameplay at decent settings for many modern titles. The mute button is a nice touch for online meetings.

The Cyborg 15 A13VE handled demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring surprisingly well at 1080p. While I had to dial down some settings to maintain a smooth 60fps, the overall performance was impressive for its price point. The 1TB SSD ensured quick load times, minimizing frustrating wait periods. Video editing was also a breeze, with smooth playback and quick rendering times. The battery life, however, is a significant drawback. Four hours of use is barely enough for a full day of light usage, let alone gaming.
I also tested the thermal management. Under heavy load, the laptop did get noticeably warm, but it never reached uncomfortable temperatures. The fans kicked in with a noticeable hum, but it wasn’t excessively loud.
Pros:
- Powerful Core i7-13620H processor
- Fast 1TB SSD
- Smooth gaming performance at 1080p
- Comfortable keyboard and trackpad
- Good build quality
Cons:
- Short battery life
- Can get warm under heavy load
- No SD card slot
- Only two USB ports
The MSI Cyborg 15 A13VE is a solid gaming laptop offering excellent performance for its price. The powerful processor and fast SSD are its strengths. However, the short battery life and limited port selection are drawbacks. Overall, if you prioritize performance and are primarily using it at a desk, it’s a great choice. If portability and long battery life are essential, you might want to consider other options. I would recommend this laptop with the caveat that you’ll likely be tethered to a power outlet for extended gaming sessions.
