TELESIN Magnetic Lens Filter Kit (MLYX00021) for DJI Pocket 3 Review
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been putting the TELESIN Magnetic Lens Filter Kit (MLYX00021) through its paces with my DJI Pocket 3. This 4-pack includes a CPL filter and ND filters (ND16, ND64, and ND256), promising enhanced image quality and exposure control. My aim was to see if this affordable kit delivers on its promises.
The magnetic attachment system is a standout feature. It’s incredibly easy to swap filters, even on the fly. The filters themselves feel surprisingly robust given their slim profile. The Corning glass is a definite plus, offering good scratch resistance. The ND filters effectively manage exposure in bright sunlight, and the CPL filter noticeably reduces glare and enhances color saturation.

Using the filters in various shooting scenarios, from bright sunny days to slightly overcast conditions, provided consistently impressive results. The ND filters prevented overexposure without noticeably impacting image sharpness. The CPL filter was especially effective in reducing glare on reflective surfaces like water and glass, resulting in more vibrant and clear images. I found the 8-stop ND256 filter particularly useful for capturing smooth video footage in very bright conditions, allowing for slower shutter speeds even in full sunlight.
I did notice a slight amount of vignetting with the ND256 filter at wider apertures, though it was minimal and easily corrected in post-processing. The magnetic attachment remained secure throughout my testing, even during more active shooting situations.
I tested the filters extensively shooting both photos and videos. The improvements in image quality, particularly color saturation and reduction of lens flare, were immediately noticeable. I even compared shots with and without the filters to more fully analyze the impact they had.
Pros:
- Easy magnetic attachment.
- Effective ND and CPL filters.
- Durable Corning glass construction.
- Affordable price point.
- Noticeable improvement in image quality.
Cons:
- Slight vignetting with the ND256 filter at wider apertures (easily correctable).
- No filter case included (minor inconvenience).
Overall, the TELESIN Magnetic Lens Filter Kit (MLYX00021) is a highly recommended accessory for DJI Pocket 3 owners. The ease of use, effective filter performance, and affordable price make it a fantastic value. While there’s minor vignetting with the strongest ND filter, the benefits far outweigh this minor drawback. If you’re looking to elevate your Pocket 3 footage, this kit is a must-have.
