The stated 30W output is impressive for a speaker of this size, promising a loud and clear sound. The Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity ensures a stable and high-quality audio stream, minimizing dropouts. The Type-C charging is convenient, and while the stated 12-hour battery life wasn’t quite achieved in my testing (more on that below), the fast charging capability is a definite plus.

The ability to pair two speakers for stereo sound or even connect up to 100 speakers for larger events is a fantastic feature, expanding its versatility beyond individual use.

In terms of sound quality, the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor 30W delivers a surprisingly rich and full audio experience. The bass response is decent, although it doesn’t quite reach the depth of some larger speakers. The mid-range and high frequencies are well-balanced, resulting in clear vocals and crisp instrumentation. At maximum volume, there’s some distortion, but it’s not excessively noticeable. The “Woofer-Boost” mode, while advertised, didn’t seem to make a significant impact in my tests.

Battery life was a bit of a disappointment. While the specifications claim 3 hours, I found I could consistently achieve around 2 hours of continuous playback at higher volumes, although lower volumes resulted in more hours of playback. This is significantly less than the advertised 12 hours.

The hands-free calling functionality worked flawlessly; the microphone picked up my voice clearly even in moderately noisy environments.
