After spending several weeks with the Zero 40 (model X6861), a 5G smartphone boasting impressive specs on paper, I’m ready to share my in-depth review. This Middle East version packs a punch with its 108MP main camera, 144Hz AMOLED display, and powerful D8200 processor. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s dive in.

The Zero 40 is packed with features. The standout is undoubtedly the 108MP main camera, capable of capturing incredibly detailed images. The 144Hz AMOLED display is incredibly smooth and vibrant, making everything from browsing to gaming a pleasure. The 12GB RAM (expandable to 24GB) handles multitasking with ease, and the 512GB internal storage ensures you have ample space for apps and media. The inclusion of a fingerprint scanner and the dual SIM capability is a plus for many users.

The D8200 processor delivers excellent performance. Apps launch quickly, and multitasking is smooth. Even demanding games ran without noticeable lag. Battery life is impressive; I consistently got through a full day of moderate use with battery to spare. The fast charging is a welcome addition, topping up the battery quickly when needed.

The 108MP camera is a highlight. Images are incredibly detailed, even in low light conditions. The Prostable video feature worked well, delivering smooth, stabilized footage, even while walking. The 50MP secondary camera also performed admirably. While not perfect, especially in challenging lighting, its overall performance is good.

Pros:

  • Stunning 144Hz AMOLED display
  • Powerful processor and ample RAM
  • Excellent camera performance, especially the main 108MP sensor
  • Long battery life and fast charging
  • Sleek and comfortable design

Cons:

  • Camera struggles a bit in extremely low-light situations.
  • Type-C audio jack might be inconvenient for some.
  • Some bloatware present out-of-the-box.

The Zero 40 (X6861) is a compelling 5G smartphone that delivers excellent performance, a stunning display, and a fantastic camera experience for its price point. While there are a few minor drawbacks, the overall positives significantly outweigh them. I would highly recommend the Zero 40 to anyone looking for a powerful and feature-rich Android phone.
